Hydrography

Over the last few years the Hydrography profession has evolved a new registration for Hydrographic Surveyors. These days, with legal pressures and quality assurance coming to the fore, it is essential for you to ensure that whomever you employ to undertake your Hydrographic requirements, they are registered as a Hydrographic Surveyor with the Spatial Sciences Institute of Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science - Surveying QUT
• Registered Hydrographic Surveyor
• HS(1) Level 1 for Coastal Zone Management

Mick has over 20 years experience in the surveying industry, working with the Marine and Ports Division of Queensland Transport and was the Hydrographer of the Port of Townsville for twelve years. Accessing the latest GPS and Sonar equipment and software, Mick can provide a wide range of  Hydrographic Services.

Mick Fitzpatrick, the director of AQUAMAP, has been a registered Level 1 Hydrographic Surveyor with the SSSI (formerly ISA) through the Australian Hydrographic Surveyor's Certification Panel since 1996, with accreditation at the highest level in the field of Coastal Zone Management. Mick also has a Master V Certificate, skippering vessels to 24 metres so as to carry out AQUAMAP's operations with a minimum of assistance.
